Sending Spring Festival couplets and “Fu” produced by calligraphers to every family is the common goal of the property management team and the Community officers. The service center of Hangzhou Haimingyayuan cooperated with Community officers to invite calligraphers to write Spring Festival couplets and “Fu” characters and distribute them to proprietors together with the best wishes of bidding farewell to the old, welcoming the new, and ushering in fortune and happiness.
Hangzhou Precious Mansion
“Usher in the Year of Dragon, Seek the Elements of Dragon” was the theme of the Spring Festival garden party organized by the property service center of Hangzhou Precious Mansion. There, proprietors could write couplets, receive “Fu” cards, experience traditional Chinese sugar painting which is an intangible cultural heritage, sing songs for the Lunar New Year, make paper-cuts, make dragon lanterns, and draw Lunar New Year’s lucky lots. The “Fu” characters written by proprietors themselves carry proprietors’ deepest and best wishes for the coming year. Finally, an excellent dragon dance performance of golden dragon presenting auspiciousness pushed the event to its climax, drawing a perfect conclusion to the garden party.
At the Lunar New Year cultural event in Hangzhou Yurun Qianchaofu, proprietors watched with joy as calligraphers put their Spring Festival blessings into the calligraphy works that they created. Dipping the brushes in ink, the calligraphers swiftly wrote on red paper, creating lively Spring Festival couplets and “Fu” characters. In addition, proprietors and children at the event were also given the chance to write “Fu” characters and couplets themselves, filling the scene with the fragrance of ink and the joy of the Spring Festival.
Hangzhou Triumphal Arch
In Yueqing Golden Garden, many proprietors received “Fu” characters and Spring Festival couplets to their satisfaction from the Spring Festival celebration. The proprietor who received the couplet that read “Dragon Soars over the Land of China, Blessing Thousands of Families; Spring Wanders around the World, Refreshing Millions of Lives” was particularly happy with what he got from the event. These “Fu” characters and Spring Festival couplets were all created by four proprietors who were invited by the service center for their expertise in calligraphy. Mr. Huang is one of those four loving proprietors and now serves as the Vice Chair and Secretary-general of Yueqing Hard Pen Calligraphy Association. The four proprietors collectively created 200 “Fu” characters and 100 pairs of Spring Festival couplets on-site, all of which were taken home by other proprietors with joy.
