Binjiang Property’s Unique Summer Ritual – Challenging Our Limits at “I’m a Swimmer” and Enjoy Family Moments at “Tiderip Carnival”
On July 6th, the 12th “I’m a Swimmer” swimming contest in 2024 for Binjiang Property’s young proprietors was held in Golden Dawn Phase II in Hangzhou. Early in the morning, nearly a hundred young contestants, accompanied by their parents and Binjiang Property’s property management staff, took buses from various districts of Hangzhou and gathered at the competition venue.
Many of the contestants are outstanding swimmers who have advanced through the group stage selection. Some are also award winners from the previous contest, aiming to challenge themselves again and achieve good results in this contest. “I’m a Swimmer” is the goal pursued by all the young swimmers.
This year’s contest was divided into children’s and adolescent groups. The children’s group has always been the most popular event of the contest, and this year is no exception. The preliminaries of the children’s group were far more intense than those of the adolescent group, and both the girls’ and boys’ divisions of the children’s group had gone through over ten heats of fierce competition.
After the warmup and opening ceremony, the young contestants who had understood the rules and got fully ready for the competition cheered themselves on loudly. With a whistle from the starter, the contestants of the first preliminary heat plunged into the pool, splashing the water around. Heat by heat, the quick speed and graceful strokes of the young swimmers elicited cheers and applause from the spectators in the stands. The parents also kept a close eye on their children’s rankings in the heat.
While the contest didn’t specify a specific swimming style, freestyle and breaststroke were the most popular choices among contestants. Some freestyle swimmers only had one year of swimming experience. A young girl aspiring to win first place said that freestyle offered an obvious speed advantage in races. Those who chose breaststroke also demonstrated great courage. In the preliminary rounds, some breaststroke swimmers kept pace with their freestyle counterparts, displaying a strong competitive spirit. The young athletes all enjoyed the contest very much as it provided them with opportunities to compete with each other.
After over an hour, the preliminary rounds for the children’s and adolescent groups concluded with contestants vying for the lead. In the finals, the athletes picked up speed, sprinting vigorously and slicing through the waves, with the sounds echoing throughout the venue. The top eight finishers in both the girls’ and boys’ divisions of the children’s group competed for awards, while the top four finishers in both the girls’ and boys’ divisions of the adolescent group secured their prizes.
After fierce competition, Fan Yanxi and Xie Chengze won first place in the girls’ and boys’ divisions of the children’s group, while Zhang Yifei and Zhu Leyan claimed the top spot in the girls’ and boys’ divisions of the adolescent group.

Little swimmers are all brave fighters in the water, surpassing rivals and challenging themselves. Every child who has strived in the pool deserves the title “I’m a Swimmer”. Let’s gather and compete once again next year.
Binjiang Tiderip Carnival
In addition to the contest held in Golden Dawn Phase II, the Binjiang Tiderip Carnival was also a paradise for children where family sports, fun games, and refreshing summer drinks were all children’s favorites.
Except for the hurdles and waste classification retained from previous Tiderip Carnival, some ancient sports such as touhu (throwing arrows into a pot) and diabolo were also introduced in the family sports section for parents and children to challenge themselves and enhance their collaboration and closeness.
Fun games such as inflatable castles and whack-a-mole also attracted a great many children, providing them with a delightful time.
This year’s Tiderip Carnival was sure to be the most dynamic event of the summer.
