“Thanks to Your Quick Response!” Responsible Binjiang Property Staff Saved A Smoking Electric Tricycle
At around 8 pm on July 13th, a vehicle fire suddenly broke out before the entrance of Longrun City Zone B in Qiantang District, Hangzhou City. Mr. Yao, a resident nearby, was driving an electric tricycle with his family members on board when thick smoke suddenly billowed from the rear of the tricycle. The situation was urgent.
At this critical moment, Wu Junfei, the gate guard of Longrun City Zone B who was then on duty at the entrance, as the first one who noticed the smoke, immediately grabbed two fire extinguishers from the booth, rushed to the vehicle, and aimed one extinguisher at the base of the fire. Momentarily stunned by the fire, Mr. Yao hurriedly got off the tricycle with his family and picked up the other extinguisher to assist putting out the fire. Within just over ten seconds, the fire was temporarily subdued.
Wu Junfei then radioed the control room for urgent backup. The control room staff on duty promptly activated the emergency plan and quickly called the patroller and the micro fire station to join the action.
Upon receiving the order, the patroller Zhao Chuanxu sped to the scene in a patrol car, and the micro fire station members also arrived swiftly with specialized equipment. Just as they arrived, the electric tricycle reignited. The team worked in clear division and cooperated seamlessly, with micro fire station members pointing a water hose at the core of the fire and the gate sentry wielding the extinguisher to combat the blaze. After nearly ten minutes of intense efforts, the flames were completely extinguished. But they didn’t withdraw until they did a thorough inspection and confirmed no risk of reignition.
“Thanks to your quick response, the fire was put out!” After the incident, Mr. Yao bought several bottles of water to express his gratitude for the brave and responsible actions of the Binjiang Property staff, which prevented the fire from escalating into a great danger. On July 18th, Mr. Yao personally visited the property service center of Longrun City to present a silk banner as a token of appreciation.
The gate guard Wu Junfei was a new member of the property management team since the beginning of July. “I’m really proud that our team successfully put out the fire this time. I’ve participated in fire drills before, where I grasped the key fire safety knowledge and learned to respond swiftly and act professionally in emergencies,” said Wu Junfei.
The successful firefighting effort is a result of the quick response and efficient cooperation of Binjiang Property staff at Longrun City. From the immediate action of the gate guard to the timely coordination of the control room and the collaborative support from multiple forces, the whole process not only demonstrated the team spirit and sense of responsibility of Binjiang Property but also effectively fortified a line of defense for the safety of residents of Longrun City and the surrounding area.
