Waste classification is a kind of specific practice of fastening improvement of living environment and urban quality. On November 6th, 2019, Binjiang Property New City Party Branch and Golden Dawn Community of Jianqiao Subdistrict, Jianggan District, co-organized the “Party Members Leading Waste Classification” activity to promote waste classification taking the opportunity of Party construction activity and create a good atmosphere for Party members to take the lead in striving for excellence.

Mr. Fan Jian, Sanitation Squadron Commander of Hangzhou No. 1 Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Brigade, was specially invited to this activity to give a lecture on “waste classification”. As the leader of the professionalized law enforcement squadron, Mr. Fan also assumes the responsibility as a preacher while doing law enforcement examination of waste classification. At the activity, Mr. Fan explained in plain and easy-to-understand language, and attendees all benefited a lot from his words.

Guo Chunlan, the General Party Branch secretary of Binjiang Property, also presented herself at the learning meeting. She advocated putting waste classification into practice and forming a long-acting mechanism, and urged Party members to play an exemplary role and create a good atmosphere for “Everybody is Responsible for, Everybody Participates in, and Everybody Benefits from” waste classification from themselves to contribute to living environment improvement and green development.

After the meeting, property management personnel went to Binjiang•City of The Dawn, a waste classification demonstration community of Zhejiang Province that has done a good job in waste classification in 2019, to learn its experience.

In Mid-October of this year, Director Li Lei and Deputy Director Peng Baohua of Hangzhou Urban Management Bureau, Vice Governor Shi Jianfeng of Jianggan District, and other leaders of competent departments carried out field investigation of waste classification at City of The Dawn and, afterwards, even suggested copying the mode of City of The Dawn, creating a new card of Jianqiao “Standardization, Systematization and Routinization” construction system for waste classification and the “Hangzhou Mode” with Jianqiao characteristics.

Provincial, municipal, and county units of Zhejiang Province and even a delegation led by Ye Zhaowei, the Deputy Director of People’s Congress Standing Committee of Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, visited City of The Dawn community for observation and learning.

In future, Property management staffs of City of The Dawn will follow the lead of Party building and unite and gather efforts of the subdistrict, the community, and all proprietors, striving to upgrade from “waste classification demonstration community of Zhejiang Province” to a national waste classification demonstration community

Combined with the “Stay True to the Founding Mission” themed education plan, this activity is a practice of “New Eco-Fashion” waste classification publicity education, as well as an effort at constructing an ecologic, livable, and beautiful community environment.
