To enhance the fire safety awareness of proprietors and “safeguard” the Asian Games, Yunxin Community and the service center of Binjiang Property’s Jiangnanyufu in Sijiqing Subdistrict, Shangcheng District, Hangzhou held a firefighting skill competition at Jiangnanyufu.

Yuan Na, a popularizer of science from the Shangcheng District Association for Science and Technology, was invited to give an emergency fire safety lecture. From basic fire safety knowledge and the fire safety responsibility system, combining theory explanation and demonstration of the use of a fire extinguisher, the lecture explained common fire knowledge such as how to save oneself and how to organize evacuation in daily life, and was very productive. 

The firefighting skill competition was divided into a sprint with a fire extinguisher and a fire hydrant connection and target shooting relay. Members split the task and cooperated effectively to complete the movements quickly, demonstrating a relatively high level of firefighting skill and remarkable teamwork spirit.

This event further enhanced everyone’s firefighting skills in responding to unexpected fires and also helped proprietors build the awareness that fire safety is a shared responsibility of everyone.
