Publisher: Release time:2024-06-14
Recently, a faltering old man appeared alone at the east gate of Binjiang Yuechao Mansion in Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou during the evening hours. Dressed in clean black and gray clothes and wearing slippers, the man appeared nervous and at a loss, looking around as if intending to enter the residential complex.

Meng Lingkang, the order team member on duty, quickly approached and asked, “Sir, you seem unfamiliar. Are you going home? Which building do you live in?”

The old man glanced up at him and mumbled repeatedly in dialect, “…go home…Building 7…my son…” His voice was faint and disjointed.

Finding it difficult to communicate with and get more information from the old man, Meng Lingkang reported it to his superior as an abnormal situation. Later, the old man was brought to the service center.

The old man seemed restless in an unfamiliar environment and repeatedly showed a desire to leave and return home. The service staff kindly invited the old man to take a seat and offered a cup of warm water, trying to soothe him and gather useful information through casual conversation.

However, from the conversation with the old man, the service staff only learned that his son might reside there. As to the name of his son, the service staff could only identify the sound “tao” in the given name and had no clue of the surname.

To ascertain the identity of the old man as soon as possible, a steward took a photo of the old man and sent it to the proprietors’ WeChat group, hoping to gather some clues. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, the service staff didn’t get any effective information about the old man’s identity. After thorough verification from various sources, the service staff concluded that the old man was not a resident of Yuechao Mansion and likely wandered into the residential quarter by mistake.

To help the old man find his family, the service center reached out to Officer Shi from the local police station for help. Failing to figure out the identity of the old man in the first place, the police decided to take the old man back to the police station to further find a solution.

The security personnel and stewards of Yuechao Mansion were still concerned about the old man after that. Gratifyingly, the service staff contacted the police station that evening and learned that the old man had found and been taken home by his family.

Whenever encountering groups in need of care, be it elderly people who have lost their way outside or within the residential quarter, the frontline Binjiang property management staff who yearn for a brighter world always show great kindness and demonstrate a strong sense of social responsibility.
