We are now on a jubilant and blissful train, laden with all the best wishes for the new year.
Writing “Fu” character and Spring Festival couplets is a Spring Festival celebration event highly anticipated by all proprietors. With the support of proprietors committees and community officers, the property service centers invited calligraphers as well as proprietors who are calligraphy enthusiasts to usher in the new year for other proprietors with their calligraphy works. Preparing Spring Festival couplets and spreading “Fu” is a part of the traditional New Year customs and shows people’s increasing confidence in traditional culture and the enjoyment of spiritual and cultural life. For years, this event, as a way to pass on our culture, has become a traditional part of Binjiang Property’s Spring Festival celebration for its proprietors.
In Hangzhou Yurun Qianchaofu, Dream Lake, and Thousand Island Lake Peninsula Impression, calligraphers and proprietors enthusiastic about calligraphy showed off their skills and produced numerous Spring Festival couplets, winning praises from the audience. These Spring Festival couplets carry the wishes of thousands of families for a better life and a prosperous nation. The “Fu” characters created by calligraphers exhibited a diverse array of styles, and some even incorporated elements of the Year of the Snake and integrated multiple auspicious characters. In Jiangnan Mansion, with heartfelt concern for the elderly proprietors, the property management staff visited the elderly proprietors and warmly helped paste “Fu” characters and Spring Festival couplets in their houses.

Chinese calligraphy and painting share a common origin as well as timeless charm. In Hangzhou Urban Oasis, a calligraphy and painting gathering was in full swing. Calligraphers, with brushes saturated with dense ink, skillfully wrote auspicious words for proprietors to cater to their diverse demands such as spring greetings and blessings for new homes. On the other hand, the Chinese painting artists also impressed everyone with their on-the-spot artistic creations.

At the event site of Shanghai Park One, red papers fluttered and the scent of inks filled the air. The calligraphy enthusiasts rolled up their sleeves and picked up their brushes to write down words of heartfelt blessings. “Golden snake dances on the land of spring, and magnificent phoenix flies in the world filled with happiness”; “Golden dragon bears pearls to bid farewell the old year, silver snake spews treasures to celebrate the new spring.” One after another, Spring Festival couplets brimming with blessings were crafted. Together with “Fu” characters, these Spring Festival couplets were later bestowed by the neighborhood committee, service center, and volunteers to residents and employees in the surrounding community to welcome the Year of the Snake.

“Purple swallows usher in the spring and long-lasting prosperity, and golden snakes celebrate the new year and flourishing family life”; “Five lucks bring prosperity to all endeavors, and auspiciousness and good fortune ensure a splendid year ahead.” Invited by the service center of Yiwu Xiuchuan Mansion, the calligraphers moved their brushes like dragons and snakes to create Spring Festival couplets imbued with the best wishes for the new year. These couplets added to the festive spirit of the Chinese New Year, and proprietors receiving them could hardly contain themselves and felt a stream of warmth flowing into the depths of their hearts.
Yiwu Xiuchuan Mansion
In Quzhou Chunjiangyue, the proprietors committee joined hands with the property service center and invited renowned calligraphers to write “Fu” characters and Spring Festival couplets for proprietors. With the scent of ink and paper filling the air, calligraphers showcased their skills with smooth strokes and produced over 500 “Fu” characters and 200 couplets on the day.
