When one is in trouble, help comes from all quarters. In May, the property management staff in Hangzhou Castalia Court and Coral Manor ignited a proprietor’s hope for life with their blood.
On May 6th, Mr. Hu, a resident of Castalia Court Yunxuan visited the service center and urgently asked Director Wang for help.
Mr. Hu told Director Wang, “My old colleague, Mr. Zhan, is a resident in the neighboring Castalia Court Xuxian. He suddenly developed acute leukemia and his hemoglobin dropped to a dangerous level, which was very serious. He is now receiving treatment in the hospital, but due to blood shortage, family members and friends are needed to donate blood to ensure he has enough during his hospitalization.”
Mr. Hu further explained that since family donations were insufficient for the treatment, he hoped that the property management team could give a helping hand and donate blood to help his old colleague through the tough time.
Mr. Hu’s plea for blood donation showed not only his deep concern for his colleague but also his trust and reliance on the property management team. That very night, Director Wang, aware of the life-saving significance and responsibility behind the plea, shared the story in the work group and mobilized the service center staff to donate blood. His words were responded enthusiastically.
The next day, the first batch of property management staff, that is, Director Wang Xiaohua, Director Assistant Feng Yu, Jiang Wenzheng, and Jin Tao, arrived at Zhejiang Blood Center Binjiang Branch to donate 1100ml of blood.
Property management staff donated blood
The property management staff’s blood donation alleviated the blood shortage problem for Mr. Zhan, who later completed the first phase of treatment and returned home.
On the day when Mr. Zhan returned his home in Castalia Court Xixuan, Director Wang visited him with a fruit basket, reassuring him that he didn’t need to worry about anything but focus on recovery. Director Wang also told Mr. Zhan that the property management team would organize a second blood donation for him. Mr. Zhan’s family was deeply moved and grateful for Binjiang Property’s timely assistance that warmed their hearts during such a difficult time.
Residents and property management staff have always been one family. Director Wang said that Mr. Zhan had consistently dedicated himself to enhancing the life quality in the residential quarter, and it was only natural for Binjiang Property staff to do what they could to help Mr. Zhan when he was in trouble.
To prepare the blood necessary for the second phase of treatment, the service center of Coral Manor, another Binjiang Property’s property management team, also joined the blood donation effort on May 20th. Led by Coral Manor’s property management director Zhang Hongzhao, the blood donation team, composed of Chen Jiajun and Liu Kun from Coral Manor’s service center as well as Pang Shuaitong and Zhang Bingyun from Castalia Court’s service center, donated 1300ml of blood at Zhejiang Blood Center Binjiang Branch this time. Director Zhang Hongzhao stated that Coral Manor’s service center would soon organize a second blood donation for Mr. Zhan to meet his treatment needs.
Mr. Hu, as Mr. Zhan’s old leader and colleague, has been doing everything possible to support his old coworker through this difficult time. Witnessing and deeply touched by the property management staff’s dedication to caring for Mr. Zhan as their own responsibility, Mr. Hu wrote a thank-you letter on May 11th, expressing how he was moved by the kindness of society and warmed by the property management staff’s proactive blood donation actions, and praising that the property management staff’s spirit of saving lives through blood donation was truly commendable and worthy of eulogization.
Gratitude from the Resident for Blood Donation
While recuperating at home, Mr. Zhan learned through WeChat that wave after wave of Binjiang Property staff had rolled up their sleeves without hesitation to donate their warm blood for him. Unable to contain his emotions and despite his physical condition, he wrote a heartfelt letter of thanks at home to express his profound gratitude at that moment.
“Every drop of blood is a gift of life. It is your selflessness that makes the flower of hope bloom brightly in my heart and it is your kindness that illuminates my path of life and warms my soul. I feel your warmth and care so deeply and vividly. I saw property management team leaders setting examples through their own actions; I saw property management staff I didn’t even know donating blood for me; I saw a vivid embodiment of Binjiang Property’s service philosophy of ‘Hearty Service, Lovely Home’.”
“My family and I are so obliged for your selfless assistance, which has extended the warmth of humanity to us. We will forever cherish your generosity.”
In a few days, Mr. Zhan will return to the hospital for further treatment. In his letter, he said, “I will carry this profound friendship with me and bravely fight the illness, and try my best to recover and regain my health and vitality as soon as possible, so as to continue contributing my share to the residential quarter alongside with Binjiang Property.”
