“Who left this on the car hood at this late hour?” At Hangzhou Jiangnanyufu, the order foreman Zhou noticed a red bag while patrolling with his team member. He quickly went over to check and found a whole chicken frozen solid inside the bag.

At around 9:00 pm on July 5th, Zhou was on night patrol with his team member Cao as usual. While patrolling the B2 parking lot, Cao’s flashlight beam swept across the hood of a black sedan, revealing a square object in a red bag placed on top.

“Fresh food can spoil easily, and it could be a safety hazard when starting the vehicle, so we needed to find the owner as soon as possible,” said Zhou afterwards. That night, he immediately contacted the 24-hour duty center and reported, “Duty room, we found something in the B2 parking lot. Please help identify the owner of this parking space!”

The staff on duty in the duty room quickly inquired about the vehicle registration system and soon identified the owner, Ms. Tan, using the license plate number. Meanwhile, Zhou and Cao transferred the frozen chicken to the refrigerator of the service center. To not disturb Ms. Tan, they decided to notify her with a text message first.

10 minutes later, Ms. Tan called back anxiously, “Thank you so much! I wasn’t home today, and I didn’t think too much when my friend told me that the chicken was left in the car. I was just worried about the chicken thawing!” Relieved to hear that the property management staff had stored it properly, she kindly asked the property management staff to deliver the frozen chicken to her home.

Without hesitation, Zhou took out the frozen chicken, wrapped it securely in a new thermal bag, and handed it to Cao. Cao hurried to the building where Mr. Tan lived. He rang the doorbell and, after confirming that no one was home, carefully put the bag within view of the security camera and texted Ms. Tan about the exact location of the bag. Only after receiving Ms. Tan’s reply confirming the safe receipt of the chicken did the two leave and continue their patrol.

Early the next morning, Ms. Tan specifically asked the steward to convey her gratitude to the security guards who patrolled the night before. From spotting to safely storing and delivering, the whole “frozen chicken defense operation” was wrapped up in just 30 minutes.

As Zhou said, “Stay extra vigilant on patrol; even the smallest issue for a resident is a big deal.” They embodied the essence of Binjiang Property’s round-the-clock guardianship and showcased the sense of duty and the warmth of ordinary property management staff.
