A major public health emergency hit the society in this Spring Festival when people were supposed to be reunited. This emergency tests not only the response and mobility of property management personnel but also their forward-looking thinking on the development of the epidemic. Now, let’s have a look at how Binjiang Shanghai Park One, a very young property delivered in June last year, challenged itself and became the ferryman of life during the epidemic.

A batch of masks from Huzhou to Shanghai for proprietors

In the morning of the day before New Year’s Eve, director Zhang Gong of Shanghai Park One property management service drove away from Shanghai to his native place Huzhou. Before leaving, he bade all property management divisions to maintain strict epidemic prevention and control. He was not leaving for a vacation but a tough and urgent mission of purchasing a batch of masks for proprietors.

Masks are scarce for the moment. Although the property management service itself was very short of it, director Zhang has been thinking about preparing masks for proprietors and ensuring the personal protection of proprietors regardless of his own difficulties. Masks are the most important shield protecting individuals from the epidemic, and director Zhang’s behavior reflects the foresight of Binjiang Property’s frontline property management personnel with the development of the epidemic.

“It’s just too difficult to buy masks in Shanghai. So I went back to Huzhou and thought maybe I can find some at pharmacies there.” With such hope, director Zhang set out on his journey.

On the next day that was the New Year’s Eve, director Zhang appeared in the community of Shanghai Park One in the morning. Though exhausted from the long travel, he immediately arranged property management staff to distribute the 1000 masks he acquired by all means from pharmacies in Huzhou to proprietors who had been waiting very anxiously. Almost two hundred proprietors finally received such masks, which were more precious than any other items the moment.

As the mask supply fell so short of demand and couldn’t satisfy more people, director Zhang thought over and hurriedly went back to Huzhou on the first day of the New Year. Fortunately, he was able to purchase and bring back several hundred of masks again for proprietors.

Understand property management personnel’s epidemic prevention work and hear their inner voice from a hand-written letter of thanks from proprietors

The efforts paid by the frontline property management personnel of Shanghai Park One are obvious to all. Starting from the property management benchmark of Dachang Town of Shanghai City, they are aiming to the property management benchmark of Baoshan District and even of the international metropolis Shanghai. The goal ahead is like a pilot lamp leading the thought and step of the property management personnel to progress.

On January 21st, Binjiang Property initiated comprehensive epidemic prevention and control of Shanghai Park One, including disinfecting public areas frequently, taking body temperature of proprietors coming in and out, registering personnel information, and so on. And early on January 25th, Shanghai Park One was one of the first few that implemented closed-off management and carried out strict prevention and control measures such as keeping all couriers and takeout deliverymen out and requiring proprietors to enter and leave with a permit.

When the gate sentry received a joint letter of thanks written by five proprietors to the order team, team member Xu immediately posted the sensitive letter to the property management staff group, which soon excited the order team member. The letter filled with tender feelings eliminated the estrangement between people caused by quarantine for epidemic prevention, and vividly portrayed the polite and rigorous image of the order team members. “Members were thrilled when got recognized and trusted by proprietors and said that they would never hesitate to give up their rest time and break their back to protect proprietors’ safety even without overtime pay”, director Zhang recalled. What touching words!

Provident convenience service during the epidemic comes from repeated self-exhortation

As the epidemic situation is still very grim, how can property management services be attentive to, recognized and acknowledged by proprietors? Many properties under Binjiang Property such as Myriad Star, Golden Dawn, and The City Star in Hangzhou have given a perfect answer. The property management staff of Shanghai Park One launched a free hairdressing activity on the 2nd day of the 2nd lunar month, i.e. the Dragon-Head-Raising Day, before resumption of work, once again demonstrating straight off the truth of thinking determining the way out. Due to the epidemic, even the most ordinary daily routines could only be realized through multiple efforts. The true sentiments are showed in adversity.

“Tomorrow will be the first day of work resumption. Though we should still be a masked man, we could at least get a new haircut. This time, property management personnel provided just appropriate arrangement (hairdressing) and the satisfaction degree of customers increased a lot. It’s a good example to learn after.” “There are no normal things but a group of ordinary people serving attentively behind. The property management staff undertake the responsibility of delivering express parcels and takeouts, and stewards also play many intimate roles. It is surprising that they even arranged hairdressing…” The WeChat Moments of Shanghai Park One’s proprietors are full of praise and compliments to Binjiang Property, which is also an encouragement and impetus to us.

Property management staff of Shanghai Park One stressed repeatedly to consider more and think ahead for proprietors, which reflects the forward-looking thinking of service. Though with the severe epidemic before us, we should actively and positively take actions to search for the light of hope and pass it on to people waiting for the spring. That is why the free homework printing service, which has been praised by the Shanghai local housing management office, was launched; why the steward, witnessed by the neighborhood, voluntarily took care of two cats for one month for the proprietor who was not able to come home; why proprietors spontaneously donated materials for epidemic prevention and food…

The COVID-19 is a challenge, but also an opportunity for us to turn adversity into motivation and affection into power. While you are still focusing on the basic level of property management service, the epidemic tells more people that property management service has already exceeded its own value and is linked to higher missions and responsibility. From protecting the home to safeguarding proprietors’ health and safety, from refined services to personalized services, it is these ordinary people who bravely walk in the opposite direction to the danger regardless of their personal safety to light you by their own faint light. We are not afraid as we know that there is hope before us and the spring will finally come.

The story of Shanghai Park One is just one case among those of all Binjiang Property communities. Resolutely determined to win the epidemic, the frontline Binjiang Property personnel are all holding fast to their position on the front line and transmitting the love of life.
