January 20th, 2021 was the first day of Dahan, the last of 24 solar terms of a year following which the spring is about to come. The wintersweet blooms in bitter cold, and the scent is wafted along by the wind.

Laba Festival also fell on this day. It has been a tradition of many of Binjiang Property’s to prepare Laba porridge for their proprietors.

Last Spring Festival, Binjiang Property and its proprietors stayed together and supported each other through those days fighting against the pandemic, and thereby has forged the deep comrade-in-arms friendship. Nearly 50 service centers of Binjiang Property in Hangzhou, Qiandao Lake, Shaoxing, Shangyu, Jinhua, Yiwu, Quzhou, Pinghu, and Ningbo agreed undesignedly to join the Laba event this year and gave over 17000 bowls of Laba porridge to their proprietors, which sets a new record. This event is not only a kind of inheritance of the Laba culture but also a wish for a good and healthy new year.

Many service centers needed to prepare four or five hundred and even more than one thousand bowls of Laba porridge and thus its property management staff had to stay up to cook. Despite all the tiredness and weariness, they were happy to see their proprietors have some nice and warm Laba porridge in the morning to best nourish their body. Some people say that a bowl of Laba porridge on a winter day is a material comfort as well as a pleasure of mind. It’s about the spiritual pleasure brought by a nice blend of a dozen of ingredients.

Golden Dawn Provided Laba Porridge with Highland Barley Rice in It

In Golden Dawn, its front-line property management staff started early at 1:00AM to cook the special Laba porridge that contained more than ten nutritional ingredients such as peanuts, red beans, red dates, longans, kidney beans, lotus seeds, gingko nuts, sticky rice, as well as Tibetan highland barley rice specially reserved from the last love spreading activity.

Phase I, II, and III of Golden Dawn distributed a total of 1300 bowls of Laba porridge to proprietors to protect them from the coldness brought by Dahan. The property management director also had some Laba porridge with Tibetan highland barley rice and gave a favorable comment on it.

What Laba porridge conveys is the deep and warm affection of property management staff. The property management staff of Myriad Star purchased in advance the ingredients such as red dates, lotus seeds, red beans, green beans, and sticky rice. Staff of Phase I kept the Tibetan highland barley rice from the last highland barley claiming and love spreading activity and also put it into Laba porridge.

The property management of Myriad Star Phase II told that the coldness of Dahan would never stop their care to proprietors. Many proprietors believe that the harder they work, the more fortunate they will be, and the Laba porridge they received in the morning gave them the energy to start a new day’s work.

In Shangyu The City Star, Laba porridge as a symbol of Laba culture is highly anticipated by its proprietors.

This year, the property management staff set the Laba porridge distribution time at 7:30AM. Proprietors lined up at the distribution site early and 1600 bowls of porridge were all distributed within 2 hours. The property management staff also shared the porridge. Proprietors’ love to Laba porridge gratified cooks and property management staff and made all their efforts worthwhile.

On Laba Festival, the service center of The One gave two gifts and sent double wishes to its proprietors: some Laba porridge to warm their body and a “Fu” character to welcome the new year.

At 1:00AM that day, cooks started their work to prepare appetizing Laba porridge with red dates, longans, peanuts, kidney beans and other ingredients. Nearly 9 o’clock on that morning, proprietors came one by one and then went home with satisfaction with Laba porridge as well as a “Fu” character. Stewards also sent the porridge to elderly proprietors living alone. Besides, the front-line property management staff also enjoyed the steaming porridge.

Except for the said ingredients, the service center put a lot of love to both proprietors and property management staff in these 600 bowls of Laba porridge.
