In recent years, more flavors of rice dumplings have been created and accepted, offering Chinese people more choices of Dragon Boat Festival cuisine.
Dragon Boat Festival is the first traditional Chinese festival recognized as World Intangible Cultural Heritage and has various traditions and customs such as hanging mugwort and calami, wearing sachets, drinking realgar liquor, carrying a connotation of warding off epidemics and preventing evilness and illness.
