Publisher: Release time:2021-12-22

“I once served a residential quarter where there were confirmed cases and collected domestic waste and disinfected for proprietors being home quarantined. I’m experienced. Block A of New City Square is under strict closed-off control now. Of course, I’m fully aware of the danger. But as the property management assistant of the building, it’s my job and mission to serve people of the building well. If not me, who?” Words of He Zhongxian, the property management assistant of New City Square, on December 14th expressed the voice of numerous frontline property management staff of Binjiang Property who stuck at the forefront of the battle against the epidemic at the toughest moment despite personal safety.

On December 11th, Hangzhou reported another 3 confirmed cases (mild) and 1 asymptomatic carrier, and Hangzhou New City Square under the management of Binjiang Property was on the whereabouts list reported.

At 16:00 of the same day, Block A of Hangzhou New City Square was put under closed-off management while Block B was subject to certain restrictions but still allowed proprietors to pick up express packages and takeaways at a designated area downstair.

More than three hundred people working and living in the buildings that day were quarantined there. Although it was sudden news, they calmed down quickly at this critical moment to tide over the difficult time together. After inquiry, it was reported that several outsiders who had entered the buildings by chance that day, including deliverymen and some friends who had played basketball in the roof garden of the building together at noon, were also quarantined in the building. Binjiang Property and kind proprietors of the building together offered the property management office and hotel rooms and helped these special temporary personnel solve their difficulties in the quarantine period.

What the people working in the buildings lacked the most was living materials. How could they spend the first night of quarantine at ease? That night, the Subdistrict Office and the community raised enough quilts, pillows, mattresses and other daily articles, which were distributed in time by Area Director Xu, frontline Binjiang Property workers and volunteers of the buildings.

At this sleepless night, property management staff were very busy disinfecting all floors, making a list of quarantined people, notifying people in Block B of nucleic acid testing, accompanying medical staff for nucleic acid testing for people in quarantined area, and satisfying temporary living needs of people in the building.

With the support of building proprietors, property management staff of Block B got a vacant shop as their temporary office. Despite harsh conditions, love can make up everything. A proprietor who's also a hotel owner offered quilts, pillows, and mattresses to property management staff so that they could also have a place to rest in hectic days.

Hearing the news of the closed-off control of New City Square, many property management workers from other projects of Binjiang Property came with baggage to support, fully prepared to stay for 14 days and even longer. Night shift team members of the Joint Machinery project arrived New City Square that night for assistance, and many property management workers from Oriental City of Star, City of The Dawn, Tongxie Jinzuo, Powerlong Square, New City Time Square, and Shangcheng District Sports Center also joined the team of New City Square on December 12th to contribute for a sooner victory over the virus.

Block A of New City Square as the place on the whereabouts list is closed-off and under strict control. Property management assistant He and team member Wu Chao are responsible for serving the proprietors quarantined in the building. They are required to wear protective suits during work, which means they have to reduce the frequency of going to the toilet. Hence 2 bottles of water (500ml/bottle) are all what each of them have for a day. Starting early at 7:00 on the morning and not ending until 11:00 at night, He’s work includes disinfecting all floors and domestic waste, recording nucleic acid testing information of quarantined proprietors, sorting out materials, distributing meals separately from his teammate, delivering express packages and community materials, comforting quarantined personnel, etc. It is undoubtedly a hard and tiring job to do, but they have to hang on.

The Party member vanguard posts of Kaixuan Subdistrict are playing an exemplary role here. Officers of the District and the community as well as property management staff are tirelessly doing all they can to help solve various problems of quarantined personnel. And in return, proprietors give generous compliments to these officers and staff in the Fighting Epidemic WeChat group of New City Square Block B. The positive energy inspires and encourages District and community officers, Binjing Property workers, volunteers, and quarantined proprietors to unite and win the battle against the epidemic with strong fighting will and strict epidemic prevention measures.

We are all expecting a sooner reopening of the buildings and a sooner return to normal life

By December 18th, the restriction on Block B of Hangzhou New City Square has been lifted, and related personnel have left by themselves, subject to the 7-day daily monitoring afterwards.
