At 23:49 on January 13th, a person who lives at Xixi Yayuan in Wuchang Subdistrict, Yuhang District was found positive during Hangzhou routine nucleic acid testing of key personnel.

Hangzhou Xixi Star in Wuchang Subdistrict receives the property management service of Binjiang Property. It was included in the prevention area of Wuchang Subdistrict on January 14th, on which afternoon a complete nucleic acid test for all people in the prevention area started.

After receiving the notice from the Community, the Binjiang Property’s service center in Xixi Star instantly established an emergency team for nucleic acid testing, composed of over 30 property management workers and led by Li Xiaodan, the customer service director, for the purpose of assisting medical workers and Community officers in nucleic acid testing.

The slogan of “fighting against epidemic” immediately became the consensus of all property management staff. At 12:30 of the same day, property management staff put up tents, arranged electricity and light, and set tables and chairs and quarantine strip at the north gate of the residential quarter. A rehearsal was also done at the nucleic acid testing area which had been divided into waiting zone, registration zone and sampling zone.

To quicken the nucleic acid testing, property management staff took many different methods to inform proprietors of the test. By sending urgent notice to proprietor chat groups, giving phone calls to elderly proprietors, visiting in person or calling tenants, and broadcasting the notice on a loop in every building, a line more than 200 meters long for nucleic acid testing formed in less than thirty minutes. The complete disinfection of the whole residential quarter was also carried out by cleaning workers at the same time.

Hangzhou got snow mixed with sleet that day. But property management staff didn’t flinch at the cold. To keep the site strictly in compliance with on-site prevention and control requirement, they persuaded proprietors to wear masks and line up orderly with one-meter distance between each other, and, from time to time, guided proprietors to scan the QR code for information registration and supported elderly proprietors with limited mobility to the testing site.

The onsite sampling was quick and accurate and didn’t take even 1 minute for a proprietor to take off the mask, cooperate in sampling, and leave.

At 20:00 when the temperature dropped to three degrees below zero, there was a heartwarming scene that property management staff distributed hot brown sugar and ginger tea made by themselves to frontline medical workers, Community officers, volunteers, as well as proprietors to warm up their bodies and bring energy to them. That night, there was milk sent by a kind proprietor to property management staff and caring remarks of proprietors in proprietor chat groups that reminded property management staff to keep warm at night.

The testing in Xixi Star lasted for nearly 11 hours and didn’t stop until 23:00 that night, successfully achieving the goal of nucleic acid sampling and testing for more than 1700 people.

By January 16th, Xixi Star has done two rounds of nucleic acid testing for all. During this period, property management staff of Xixi Star have been sticking to their positions on the front line and fighting side by side with proprietors.
