Publisher: Release time:2022-04-26

The epidemic situation in Shanghai in the spring of 2022 is pulling at the heartstring of the whole nation.

On April 15th, the headquarters of Binjiang Property in Hangzhou urgently sent a batch of anti-pandemic supplies, including 1200 protective suits, 20000 disposable medical masks and 200 KF94 masks, to Shanghai Park One to support joint efforts of property management staff and proprietors of Shanghai Park One to protect the city of Shanghai. Until then, proprietors of Shanghai Park One had repeatedly sent a large number of epidemic prevention materials to Binjiang Property’s property management staff of every building who sticked to their position during the hard time. Their love has converged and converted into the great power against the epidemic.

Shanghai Park One is located in Dachang Town, Baoshan District and served by a service center consisting of 84 property management workers. According to project director Zhang, 61 property management workers returned to the residential quarter immediately with luggage and quilts on March 28th after being notified by Puxi of lockdown of Shanghai Park One from April 1st to April 5th. Some of others were unable to return to work as their residences were also locked down.

Nothing’s better than proprietors’ willingness to share when food is the most in demand!

For more than 21 days, the 61 frontline property management workers have worked for over 12 hours a day. They helped arrange nucleic acid testing of proprietors building by building and strictly kept the two-meter social distance between everyone in the queue, delivered materials for proprietors around the clock, and disinfected the whole residential quarter as per epidemic control standard. They had boxed meals and slept on the floor, and sometimes chose to have instant noodles with limited reserve and give their boxed meals to elderly proprietors and decoration workers who are trapped in proprietors’ homes. That was how they comforted and warmed each other during this period.

In the face of the epidemic, to help and love each other is the only way out. Many caring proprietors shared their own stuff and materials with proprietors to weather the hardship together. “Proprietors are always aware of the efforts that property management staff have made. Mr. Zhang, a proprietor of our residential quarter, made a large pot of saute spicy chicken with potatoes for us, which is very touching. There were many other proprietors who wanted to do something for our property management staff. They made pork buns, vegetable buns, cakes, and walnut cookies and put them at their doors for property management staff to take themselves to avoid contact,” said assistant Liu. Chicken now has become the top food of the moment. Such precious food is the best reward for property management staff’s epidemic prevention service.

Help elderly proprietors with group-buying and ensure the last-100-meter delivery

In today’s Shanghai, living material purchase has become the most difficult daily task, and group-buying is the most common choice. But to succeed in group-buying, people need to set alarms to get materials before too late, which distresses elderly proprietors a lot. But they have stewards with them. Stewards Baihe, Yinxing, Meigui, Haizao, Dujuan, and Hongfeng helped them buy and deliver vegetable and meat, and patiently comfort them and tell them not to worry or panic.

Every day there are more than one thousand pieces of materials at the gate of the residential quarter, but no one knows how many there may be tomorrow. It is an everyday goal of Binjiang Property to distribute all materials of the day. To reach this goal, property management staff are busy distributing materials bought by proprietors and offered by government around the clock to ensure the last-100-meter delivery. Order team members, stewards, and engineering workers are always either sorting out materials or on the way to deliver them.

In the WeChat group of proprietors, proprietors said that it was a time to unite and help each other and that they were grateful for the contribution and dedication of property management staff and volunteers, and called on everyone to care for and understand each other. As we know now, citizens in Shanghai have agreed not to buy heavy non-essential materials to reduce the burden of frontline deliverymen. Some proprietors of Shanghai Park One also recommended buying necessities in the WeChat proprietor group, which was well accepted by many other proprietors.

Steward Yinxing Collapsed but Still Worried About Material Delivery When Awake

Yinxing, whose real name is Li Yunying, is a steward familiar to all proprietors. There are positive cases in the building in her charge, therefore she is very careful about epidemic control work and often joins the team of distributing materials for proprietors immediately after the nucleic acid testing work. However, she pushed herself too much and collapsed on last 100 meter of material delivery.

Colleagues immediately sent her to the service center for simple treatment. When she woke up, she still worried about if delivery was completed successfully. What makes her colleagues admire her even more is her determination to return to work the next day, despite all the pain and guilt, when she learnt that her mother and daughter was diagnosed with COVID-19.

Salute to cleaning and disinfecting staff at this critical moment of epidemic control!

Property management staff are ordinary but at the same time extraordinary. We should pay salute to cleaning and disinfecting staff at this critical moment of epidemic control! At 6 o’clock of every morning, 14 cleaning persons will wear protective suites strictly carefully and strictly according to the standard and be equipped with spray disinfectors to carry out comprehensive disinfection of every corner of 21 high-rise buildings and the whole residential quarter. In the course of nucleic acid testing, every sampling site will be disinfected every thirty minutes thoroughly while special attention is paid to keeping distance with proprietors.

At 1:00 PM every day, the cleaning staff set out on time to collect domestic waste of more than 1000 proprietors of the residential quarter. The whole process includes waste disinfection, door-by-door collection, and complete corridor disinfection. Being responsible for multiple buildings that have positive cases, the cleaning foreman Xu has arduous tasks and sometimes couldn’t have dinner until 10:00 PM. But they will complete the disinfect-and-collect task seriously and rigorously no matter how late it may be. The fourteen cleaning workers are very aware of their mission and role in the war against the epidemic and how much their work is related to the life safety of all proprietors and property management staff.

The property management service, ordinary and humble as people may consider, is shining bright in the face of the epidemic. “The first thing that I’ll when our place is no longer locked will be paying the property management fee,” said a proprietor of Shanghai Park One.

Although the battle is protracted and painstaking, there’s hope emerging. As the responsible person of the project, director Zhang deeply realized that the ability to make a clear prediction and an advance plan, the calmness to make reasonable arrangements in the hour of peril, and the ability to keep the whole situation under control are essential to reassure colleagues and proprietors. Only with the belief of victory can we proceed firmly.

Wish Shanghai a sooner day of zero-COVID!
