Every Minute Counts! Binjiang Property Management Staff of Hangzhou The One Put Out the Flame at a Working Charging Pile in Two Minutes

At 8:15PM on August 15th in Hangzhou The One, a proprietor who was then at the south of B1 of Building 2 found that a working charging pile at a parking space was on fire and called 119 immediately.

At the same time, the order team member Wei Xiaotao who had just completed his job at Building 3 also arrived at the garage and discovered the fire. He informed the on-duty foreman Zhang Tianwen on the intercom promptly and made a key move. He decisively turned off the charging pile and grabbed a fire extinguisher from a fire hydrant nearby to put out the fire.

Quickly, the foreman Zhang Tianwen arrived in one minute. Without delay, he reported the fire to his superior and arranged for 4 team members to together fight the fire with fire extinguishers. One minute later at 8:17PM, the fire was put out. The whole process from the discovery to the extinguishment of the fire took only two minutes, with the use of 6 dry powder fire extinguishers. In the case of a fire, every minute counts!





The fire fighters arrived at 8:26PM and was told that the fire was put out. They double-checked the fire point and confirmed that there would not be an after-combustion before leaving.




Responsible persons and workers of various sections of the service center of The One rushed to the scene as quickly as possible. The order director was the commander at the scene and started all smoke exhaust devices of the garage area D on B1. And the customer service director Wu contacted all proprietors concerned and affected right away. 

Engineering workers inspected the equipment immediately, and the engineering director reconfirmed if the equipment was in a normal working condition. At the scene, there was much work left for the cleaning section to do. Under the leadership of the cleaning director, 10 cleaning workers were busy cleaning up the site before the night was out.




Director Hu of proprietors committee and Director Shen of the service center of The One were also there directing the work. As the next step, the service center will make a list of proprietors who have a charging pile at their parking spaces to regularly remind such proprietors to ask the installation unit to inspect the charging piles, further eliminating potential safety hazards, guaranteeing the charging safety of electric vehicles, and ensuring the safety of proprietors.

Officers of Bandaohong Community, where The One is located, and local police officers also appeared at the scene the same night. on August 17th, a commendatory letter was received from Bandaohong Community that commends property management staff for their quick response and good fire fighting skills and expresses gratitude to Binjiang Property to have such good employees.

Soldiers are trained for years to fight for a crucial moment. The strong fire fighting ability of Binjing Property’s frontline employees is a result of strict daily training. According to director Shen of The One’s service center, order team members will have standardized fire fighting training at least once a month, and, at ordinary times, the order foreman and the order director will randomly ask team members questions about fire fighting to strengthen their knowledge about fire safety.

Fortunately, the fire didn’t cause much loss. The cause of the charging pile fire is still under investigation by vehicle manufacturer and officers of power supply bureau.

In summer which is the peak season of power consumption, we should pay close attention to and check circuit safety frequently to bear our shares of the responsibility and always keep cautious.
