Hangzhou Asian Games Torch Relay: Binjiang Property’s Party Members Witnessed the Passing of the Torch

On the morning of September 8th, 2023, a group of Party members of Binjiang Property participated in the opening ceremony of the torch relay for the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou and had the honor to witness the sacred moment of the passing of the Asian Games torch.

The torch relay was completed by 106 bearers, starting from Yongjin Squire and running all the way through Nanshan Road, Hubin Road, West Huancheng Road, Beishan Street, Xiling Bridge, Gushan Road, and Ping Hu Qiu Yue. These torchbearers come from all walks of life and include sports personnel such as outstanding athletes and coaches as well as representatives of grassroots workers. Through them, the Olympic spirit was vividly embodied and Hangzhou people’s enthusiasm for hosting the Asian Games was fully showed.

Representatives of Binjiang Property’s Party members were split into two teams and waited at Hubin point and Broken Bridge point respectively. The scene of the Asian Games torch relay was exhilarating. As the figure of the bearer holding the torch and steadily trotting along the designated relay route came into sight, the audience waved the national flags and burst into cheers. The exuberant reactions of the audience reflect Hangzhou people’s enthusiasm about sports and pursuit for the friendship with all Asian people. Fortunately, the Party member representatives of Binjiang Property at Broken Bridge point stood exactly beside the position where the torch was passed by the 57th torchbearer Wang Huaqi to the 58th torchbearer Bai Yansong. The two bearers were affable and actively took photos with the audience. The audience were allowed to touch the torch to feel the warmth of the Asian Games torch and share the joy and honor of the Asian Games.

The Asian Games torch relay draws the attention of the whole Asia to Zhejiang. As a window to display the cities’ style and character, it not only showcases the cities’ rich historical and cultural heritage and their breathtaking natural scenery, but also ignites a passion and pursuit for the sportsman spirit, allowing people to feel the unity, the friendship, and the love for sports among people of all nations in Asia.
