On March 7th, Wang Renbing, a security guard of Hangzhou Binjiang Property Management Co., Ltd., received a public commendation together with a one-time reward of 2000 yuan from Hangzhou Yuhang District Foundation for Justice and Courage for his stepping forward during a critical moment and saving a deliveryman who suffered a medical emergency.

At around 22:00 on February 28th, an emergency occurred at Fucuili, a residential quarter in Yuhang District, Hangzhou City. Wang Renbing, the on-duty staff member of Binjiang Property at Fucuili’s fire control room, noticed through the real-time surveillance footage that a deliveryman was experiencing convulsions and suddenly fainted in the elevator lobby of Building 7.

Wang Renbing promptly called his colleagues via the intercom for support and rode his electric scooter to the elevator lobby. There, he soon realized that the situation was very urgent as he found that the deliveryman was only half-conscious, with his body still convulsing. So, he called 120 immediately.

“Hey, hey, sir!” Wang Renbing kept calling out to the deliveryman and, using the skills he learned during the Red Cross first-aid training, performed CPR on the deliveryman. After nearly one minute of urgent rescue efforts, the deliveryman gradually regained consciousness and stopped convulsing, and was then able to stand up slowly.

Wang Renbing supported and patiently soothed the deliveryman, informing him that the 120 ambulance was on its way and inquiring if he needed further medical assistance. The deliveryman replied that he was fine and expressed his gratitude for Wang Renbing’s timely intervention and emergency aid. Then, accompanied by Wang Renbing, the deliveryman slowly made his way out of the residential quarter to return home and rest.
